There is a new trend in baby clothes that is showing up lately. Some moms and dads may think it's offensive or repulsive, but a growning number of parents are buying all black baby punk onesies and t-shirts with skulls, guitars, and other dark or gothic designs. It's a way to rebel and at the same time make juniors clothing look more like mommy and daddy's.
Picture this... mom and dad wear mostly black t-shirts and other vintage or gothic inspired clothing. Now, baby gets a onesie with a football on it. This just doesn't work at all. The tattooed crowd really isn't into football, little duckies, or the baby blue onesies that say "Go Team". They are after punk baby clothes that more closely match what they are wearing. All of these black onsies are exactly what punk moms and dads are after and just aren't available at the local large retail stores. I suppose it's a good thing that these items aren't available everywhere. People with real style appreciate that they have to search out cool stuff. Just like their choices in music, most "punk" moms and dads aren't really into the mainstream. So, finding punk onesies only on the internet is ideal.
It is always inspiring to see individuals who choose to do exactly what they want with no regard for what is typically acceptable or mainstream. It may make some closed minded individuals cringe, but for most it's just as cute as seeing the little onesie with the baseball on it. When junior looks just like mom and dad it's cute.
